MEYER Z 52 is known for its plush carpet-like cover that is deep green in color and very wear resistant. Meyer will tolerate some shade but grows best in full sun. While it is drought tolerant it should be watered regularly to promote growth. At least  1 1/2 inches of water per week. Mowing height should be maintained at a height of 2 - 3 inches.

Slow release fertilizers should be applied Spring, Summer and Fall

EMERALD zoysia is a  fine textured hybrid zoysia that is possibly the most attractive of the zoysia grasses. It is well suited for quality lawns where regular maintenance and care is provided. It is more shade tolerant than Meyer. Emerald Zoysia  is dark green with a lower growth habit.

BERMUDA TIFWAY 419

TIFWAY 419 is an improved Bermuda. Tifway forms a fine textured dense turf, that excels in high traffic areas or under athletic field conditions. Tifway performs best in full sun with a mowing height of 1/2 - 3/4 inches. When fully established it has an excellent drought and heat resistance.

To avoid drying out , new sod should be watered daily and kept wet during the first 7-10 days. Once the new sod has rooted into the soil , watering frequently should be reduced. However a deep soaking every 5-7 days is usually needed during the growing season.

Application of high nitrogen fertilizer is needed Spring, Summer, and Fall to maintain good color

MURPHY TURF FARMS LLC

CENTIPEDE grass has probably the lowest maintenance of the warm season grasses. Needing little fertilization and not needing to be mown as much makes it preferable for busy lifestyles. Two key maintenance suggestions are do not mow low (1 1/2 - 2 inches)  and do not over fertilize. 15-0-15 or 16-4-8 are good low nitrogen fertilizers and also use chelated iron if needed for deficiency. For weed control be sure to check the label to be sure that the chemical can be used on centipede. Centipede can tolerate some shade and also grows well in full sun.
